FFG Shines at APTA CSM Boston with Vibrant Karaoke Presentation at ALI Fest

February 2024 marked an unforgettable moment at the APTA Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) in Boston, as Future Foundation Global (FFG)spearheaded a captivating karaoke presentation during the APTA Academy of Leadership and Innovation (ALI) Fest. The event, a testament to cultural celebration and professional camaraderie, showcased the vibrant spirit and talents of the Internationally Educated Physical Therapists (IEPT) community.

Under the leadership of Dr. Ben Aguila, PT, DPT, and Dr. Consie Aguila, PT, DPT, FFG collaborated with the Multicultural PT Catalyst Group to deliver an evening filled with music, storytelling, and cultural pride. The performance drew enthusiastic applause as IEPTs, many with Filipino heritage, highlighted their shared sense of belonging within the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and their gratitude for the inclusivity fostered by the Academy of Leadership and Innovation. Dr. Aguila, reflecting on the event, shared, “The karaoke setlist wasn’t just songs; it was a mix tape expressing how we, as IEPTs, feel welcomed and empowered within the APTA. Through music, we celebrated friendship, unity, and the transformative vision of the association.”

  • "Don’t Stop Believing": A hopeful anthem for shared aspirations and the transformative vision of multicultural inclusion.

A Celebration of Inclusion and Leadership

Dr. Maria Aguila, FFG’s Programming Chair, opened the event by introducing the IEPT community and highlighting FFG’s mission as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on advocacy and global impact. The evening was not just about performances but about building cultural bridges, fostering a sense of community, and encouraging IEPTs to take active roles within APTA.
