Dr. Ben Aguila Concludes Term as APTA New Jersey Chief Delegate, Leaving a Legacy of Advocacy for IEPTs
FUTURE Foundation Global (FFG) proudly honors Dr. Benjamin Aguila, PT, DPT, for his dedicated service as the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) New Jersey Chief Delegate. Dr. Aguila officially concluded his impactful two-year term following the close of the 2024 APTA House of Delegates (HOD).
During his tenure, Dr. Aguila championed critical advocacy efforts for the Internationally Educated Physical Therapists (IEPT) community. His leadership was instrumental in the successful passage of two pivotal HOD motions:
RC 2-24: Equitable and Inclusive Process of Licensure by Endorsement for an Internationally Educated Physical Therapist
RC 3-24: Preferred Nomenclature for an Internationally Educated Physical Therapist
These landmark motions represent a significant step forward in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the physical therapy profession, ensuring that IEPTs receive fair opportunities and recognition for their contributions.
